In the same way that when you do damage to your leg you make a scan to see if it has broken or not, to see what happens when we want to see the atoms we need other tools. Neutrons are the tool that I use to see what the movements of water are like (the dance of water). Thanks to neutrons we can have several “photographs” called spectra that give us an idea of what the water dance is like and how it changes depending on who is next to it.
