Stardust is any matter that is thrown off by a star.
Light elements (hydrogen, helium) were formed at the very birth of the Universe. Later on, big stars transformed these light elements into heavier ones like carbon, oxygen, and iron.
We think all the heavy elements, for example all the iron, we can find today on Earth have been formed in stars a very long time ago. Because we are mostly made of these heavy elements, we can say that we are all made of stardust 😀
